The 25th Annual Too Good for Drugs & Violence Walk & Kidfest 2010
On Saturday, October 2, 2010 Orthodontic Specialists of Florida teamed up with the Mendez Foundation and other community partners to participate in the 25th Annual Too Good for Drugs & Violence Walk & Kidfest 2010. Kidfest is a fun-filled celebration of living healthy, drug-free lives with interactive kid-friendly activities, a few surprises and many give-aways for the whole family. This event was hosted at the Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI) in beautiful Tampa, Florida to kick off the start to Red Ribbon Week to promote drug prevention in our communities. All Kidfest participants also got free admission to MOSI for the day.
This family-friendly FREE event featured a banner contest, a one-mile walk and an afternoon full of fun and excitement. Orthodontic Specialists of Florida team members Jennifer, Sarah, Melody and Letti geared up for the event by educating parents and kids about the benefits of BRACES! Our team members explained the differences in the types of braces and the unique services Orthodontic Specialists of Florida offers. Orthodontic Specialists of Florida held a FREE raffle for $150 Oral Care Prize give-away for one lucky participant! Letti, from our Plant City location, offered FREE Face Painting services to most of the Kidfest participants. Orthodontic Specialists of Florida looks forward to teaming up with the Mendez Foundation again next year for this great event.
